What the brief was — and what we delivered.
MJC provided structural design for the conversion of an existing Bristol Airport retail unit into a fast-food restaurant with seating and bar facilities.
Airport fit-out brief
The project formed part of Bristol Airport's enhanced food and beverage offer. It needed to move quickly, work within a live airport environment and support constant passenger use.
Key considerations
- Adapting the existing unit for kitchen services, bar areas and customer seating.
- Supporting specialist catering equipment and ventilation systems.
- Maintaining clear passenger circulation routes.
- Designing for durability under high daily footfall.
Result
The completed restaurant added dining capacity for passengers while meeting the accelerated programme and structural demands of the terminal setting.
The work, on site.
