“It’s not every day you get to help shape the first-class experience for thousands of travellers. Integrating the new First Wing check-in and lounge into a live terminal meant balancing structural precision with passenger comfort — and the result is something passengers can actually feel as they move through the space.”
Live terminal, landlord requirements and fit-out interfaces.

What the brief was — and what we delivered.
MJC supported Edmonts Ltd on the redeveloped British Airways First Wing check-in and lounge facilities at Heathrow Terminal 5.
Live terminal constraints
The upgraded First Wing improves the check-in route for British Airways First and Gold Club customers, with direct access towards the First Lounge and Concorde Room.
Working in one of the UK's busiest terminals required careful integration of new layouts and specialist fit-out elements within the existing structure.
Engineering contribution
MJC's structural input helped the project team coordinate the premium passenger experience with the operational requirements of Heathrow Terminal 5.
The work, on site.
