What the brief was — and what we delivered.
MJC provided full structural engineering services for a high-value residential new build in Cheshire, supporting a bespoke home designed around space, light and architectural impact.
Structural approach
The design combined load-bearing masonry, engineered timber joists and carefully positioned steel beams to create large open-plan living areas without losing structural efficiency.
Steel frames were introduced around feature glazed gables, allowing expansive glazing and clean architectural lines while maintaining long-term stability.
Delivery
MJC supported the project from planning and detailed design through to construction and completion. Close coordination with the wider design team kept the engineering aligned with the architectural vision.
The work, on site.
